In life, our ultimate goal is to survive. But in order to survive, we must know exactly who we are. In one point or another, one must find himself in the busy world that he lives in.
Sadly, people just “survive” for the sake of survival - living in for others. I guess that’s what our religion tells us - to live for others. But to make life interesting and worthwhile, we must look into ourselves and get to know who we are as a human being.
It’s not narcissistic and vain that we take time to know ourselves. It is, in fact, a privilege to get to know ourselves and our deepest soul. Thus, getting into a deep relationship with ourselves which will result in loving and appreciating what we have and what we don’t. This will strengthen our bond with ourselves, respect and know our ultimate purpose in life.
In my personal opinion, people who know who they really are are most likely to succeed. They do exactly what they want and they fulfill their purpose. Life is not like a routine for them but the day is another way to share your talents, gifts & blessings. I believe that life is worthwhile if you know who you are and your purpose.
“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe” – St. Augustine
Faith just doesn’t go one way. It’s a two way habit coming from the giver and the receiver. One must believe in his or herself before gaining confidence to be able to perform. There are a lot of people who are showered with support but they don’t like what they do or they are forced to do such as they don’t believe or have faith in or on it. Sometimes, people don’t have faith in themselves enough to go the extra mile.
First step to accomplishment is to believe in yourself. Nobody will drive the wheel of your car to the destination but yourself. You may have guides but its just help, you have to have faith in yourself that you can do it. You may make some mistakes but the best thing is that you’ve learned from it and moved on.
You’ve got a long way to go.
Is God REALLY out there? Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not an atheist nor an agnostic but one can’t help but wonder at this question that has been asked for years.
Devotees answer yes because of their strong believes that hypnotizes them to believe that there is something out there - a higher power. Probably greater than we could have ever imagined, bigger than our hopes and dreams. This is what they call “faith”.
Skeptics on the other hand are more rational that there is not just one God, there could be a lot of Gods. or that “God” can be an alien because it is sometimes referred as “the being from above”. or maybe, that there is no such thing as a God.
Maybe there is, maybe none. But why do a lot of people go to church every Sunday or do catholic traditions? or why is it that some state decisions are affected by the church?
“Religion is the opium of the masses” by Nietzsche is one of the best quotes i’ve heard. In the Philippines or any other catholic-induced country, the religion is so strong that it can influence the decisions of the citizens and its state. It can blindly control it’s government without the people knowing it.
Religion has made us blind to believe in something we can’t even see. Don’t get me wrong, I am a catholic myself but I know when something is being foolish or not. I have my own mind that has been awaken by the environment and nature but I know that there is a higher power out there, maybe God or who is one of us. We don’t know. and I don’t think we will ever know.
Do you know when they say “you don’t know what hit you?” when your friends disagree yet you still go for it because you know something its right? I think we all have and sometimes it goes right and it does go the wrong way that some of your friends will say “I told you so”
Our passions and desires feed our lives. We live to daydream and hope to live in that dream. When we’re there, we’re so caught up in the moment that we lose our focus and float into the dream. Yes our senses sometimes deceive us and place us in that state wherein we lose grip of reality.
What happens when we lose grip of reality? The focus that we planned out so well will sway. It’s going to be a fairy tale like moment and it will too late before we realize the damage that has been done.
Hypnotizing and enticing to jump into your dreams? Why not? But make sure you can go back to where you came from or else you’ll get lost in your own maze.
In the busy world we live in, we seldom have time for ourselves. Everything is always moving & fast paced. In return, we have shorter attention spans & limited patience for everything and everyone that we barely have the time to “stop and smell the flowers”. Patience has been a talent now instead of a virtue because we simply don’t have time to wait anymore as there are more things to be done.
Multi tasking is being encouraged because 24 hours a day and 7 days in a week isn’t enough for one person anymore. Consequently, multi-taskers somehow look half baked as 100% is not given to one project. A habit that is originally meant for people to do more is actually agitating their thoughts that they couldn’t give the proper results.
So what do we do?
In eastern philosophies, they value time. They believe that being one with yourself will make you more productive than being in a hurry. They believe in building yourself first before going into other things.
We are originally meant for doing one thing at a time. Even computers, cellphones, and other gadgets slow down when we try to “multi task” them. Each and everyone of us needs to concentrate on one thing and finish it. Today, sometimes we barely even finish it or if we do, it’s not given the attention it should have.
Learning from this, I think that yes multi tasking can be a tempting habit to religiously follow but you know what they say, “jack of all trades, master of none”
USE YOUR TIME EFFICIENTLY

“I like someone who cares for others.”
Taeyang’s ideal type is a woman with a sincere and pure image. Rather than someone with outstanding looks, he’d rather have someone who cares for others and is warm. And he doesn’t leave out the fact that he wants to meet someone he really likes.
Instead of an instant kind of love, he wants a serious relationship. Sometimes he thinks that the way he can’t comfortably meet lots of people as too bad, but he says that he wants a meeting that he can see through to the end.
